Institute for Learning The IfL is the professional body for teachers and trainers and student teachers in the learning and skills sector. LLUK Lifelong Learning UK is the Sector Skills Council responsible for the professional development of all those working in community learning and development; further education; higher education; libraries, archives and information services; and work-based learning. LLU+ The Centre is a focus for professional development and networking and will provide a lead in the enhancement and increase of numeracy learning and teaching in all post 16 education and training. Skills for Life Improvement Programme This is offered by the national Learning & Skills Council and consists of two programmes: Leadership & Management and Professional Development. Training the Teacher Trainers The Improvement Programme offers a portfolio of courses for teacher educators and experienced teachers involved in offering literacy, numeracy and ESOL professional development, led by LLU+ at London South Bank University.
