The Centre has capacity to run a number of half-day Skills for Life Awareness sessions free of charge for your staff/managers in order to enable your company or organisation to cater more effectively for the language, literacy and numeracy training and development needs of your staff or customers.
We have experience in delivering these sessions to FE Colleges, local authority organisations, SMEs and private training providers. Aims: To make delegates aware of skills for life issues in the workplace and to give them some ideas and tools to address them Outcomes: Delegates to: - be aware of what Skills for Life means,
- experience what it feels like to have a Skills for Life need,
- begin to identify Skills for Life issues in their own organisation and be able to take forward work in addressing these on an organisational and individual level,
- make materials and training appropriate for people with a wide range of skills.
If you are interested in receiving more information about these sessions, please contact Sue Farnham at the Centre on 01273 704530 or email
