Aim To review the purpose and process of assessment and to consider the position of Diagnostic Assessment within that process.
Learning Objectives By the end of the session, participants will have:
- gained a working knowledge of the paper-based Literacy, Numeracy, ESOL and Dyslexia diagnostic assessment materials
- understood how to use the assessment feedback grids and identify individual learning goals for a learner's ILP
and either
- explored the purpose and process of miscue analysis
or
- gained a working knowledge of marking free writing and the process of feedback to learners
or
- gained a working knowledge of the processes used in the ICT version of the diagnostic assessment materials.
