DIUS has published 'A New Approach to English for Speakers of Other Languages'. This sets out how DIUS will build on the responses made to the ESOL consultation in 2008 to enable ESOL provision to have a greater focus on social inclusion and community cohesion. The New Approach document, list of pathfinder areas and consultation report can be found on a new ESOL webpage, at www.dius.gov.uk/esol. DIUS hopes to make use of this site and other outlets to keep you abreast of news from the pathfinders over the coming months. |
