The BBC launches its major new website bbc.co.uk/raw in March 2009. Aimed at the many adults who want to improve their everyday skills, and building on the success of the BBC’s earlier adult literacy campaign, this ambitious new website offers a mix of video and highly interactive activities to help increase confidence and develop skills.
Plus there’s full support for practitioners – a dedicated area to user test upcoming activities to share best practice with each other. Also, free downloadable workshop resources ideal for integrating into courses and informal learning.
In addition the new website offers practitioners:

- Easy to use tools for budgeting, pension planning and more
- Real-life stories as routes into topic areas for your learners
- Top tips from BBC presenters
There are demonstration workshops (approx 1.5 hours long) aimed at practitioners who can then cascade the information to their colleagues and networks. These are being held at BBC offices in:
Brighton: 4th March
Tunbridge Wells: 5th March
Guildford: 12th March
