Whole organisation approach
Experience shows that embedding is most effective where the organisation is committed from the top down to a holistic, strategic approach.
Providers who aim to develop embedded programmes are encouraged to do so, as far as possible, as part of a whole-organisation strategy.
The whole-organisation approach is a core aim of the LSC? Skills for Life Quality Initiative, launched in 2003 and certain success criteria for this approach have been established. Managers wanting to embed functional skills across their organisation are advised to consult these criteria.
