The General Professional Recognition Learning and Skills scheme (GPRLS) enables experienced but unqualified teachers of SfL subjects to be recognised as a qualified member of the workforce. It is a process designed for those for whom undertaking an initial teacher training qualification would be inappropriate and will be opened up to other competent and experienced teachers in due course. An earlier Professional Recognition scheme (PRLS) was run specifically for experienced but unqualified teachers of Skills for Life subjects. Standards Verification UK will, as with PRLS, administer the scheme on behalf of Lifelong Learning UK. |
